Maria and Larry Baum spent the past decade and a half as traders on Wall Street. Maria’s Italian heritage and close family and friends in Italy were the catalyst for the couple’s first trips to Italy.They quickly developed a deep love of the country and its people.
Over the past ten years, their passion has become the exploration and thrill of discovering wonderful products that would allow them to bring some of the essence of Italy home to America.Today, they directly import handmade items and antiques that they have personally hand chosen from all over Italy.
The emphasis is always on quality and uniqueness.The strong relationships they have developed with the artisans and merchants whose special products they import have led to extraordinary personalization in service on both sides of the Atlantic.
Maria and Larry sought to create a store where people would enjoy spending time . . . as if being in Tuscany for a short while. They truly enjoy sharing some of Italy’s best with family and new friends who can now find their treasures at Bella Casa.
